The "EF-S55-250mm F4-5.6 IS" is a telephoto zoom lens that achieves excellent cost performance while incorporating a high-performance image stabilization mechanism that provides a correction effect of approximately 4 stops in terms of shutter speed (compared to "1/(focal length x 1.6)" seconds, which is the guideline for preventing camera shake). By using UD lenses (ultra-low dispersion glass), various aberrations are well corrected, and high image quality is achieved throughout the zoom range. In addition, the minimum shooting distance is 1.1m. Furthermore, by using the same paint treatment and zoom ring design as the higher-end models, the lens has a luxurious feel despite its light and compact size.
